Well thanks for trying. I guess Ebay doesent want to make it as easy. I used to sell items here quite often many years ago but I guess Ill have to sell anothyer way. Thanks for trying but I am missing something and am so burned out mentally trying to figure out what I am sure is a simple task But After an hour I sy=till dont get it. Is there an Ebay school?

I have been Selling for over 10 years, we have had as many as 3 active accounts here and have sold in excess of 13,000 items and we have never used Free Shipping. We use the Calculated setting per that screen shot, we put accurate weights and dimensions in the listing. If we got half a dozen complaints of shipping costs that would be a lot and quite honestly I can only remember a few.
How you sell is your choice but don't be afraid to charge for shipping.
I want to reiterate my application for your patience and help. Im 68 and disabled and moving slower these days. I saw how much you have helped others in the ebay community and I think that is awesome. I worked sponsoring some new business owners helping them get going and it was rewarding. Best to you and yours in the New Year!

You are more than welcome and truly sorry for your situation. It is just odd that it is not showing on your account. You have my sincere best wishes moving forward too!
-Sellers can select Free Shipping when they create their listings which means they will pay out of pocket to ship to their customers. In this case it is only Free for the Buyer.
-Not all Sellers offer Free shipping on their items. If they state it in their listing but do not have their shipping set up correctly then a shipping cost may actually apply to the transaction
Sorry as a seller. I have not sold anything in a good while but am planning to get back with it. Today I am selling some coupons and have been unable to list the item with free shipping. Thanks for your reply and any help directions offered.

Thank you for the reply. The Free Shipping setting is in the Shipping section on the listing tool. If you use Seller Hub the Advanced listing tool has a toggle button over on the right across from the free shipping setting.
I am not doubting your answer but for the life of me I am unable thus far to find anything you described to make my listing offer free shipping to any potential buyer. Am I required to use my desktop p.c.? Ive tried using the updated ebay app as well as using chrome to login ebay.com yet everything I try to do never brings me to a free shipping settings for my listing. Is there a step by step direction that you know of that an 8 year old can figure out? I am 68 with above average i.q. ran a small business as the owner for 32 years but this thing has me feeling like an idiot 😆

No problem ... how about a picture? Below is a screen shot from the listing tool used through Seller Hub on a PC (not the app, just the eBay account accessed through your browser). I use Microsoft Edge on my laptop and my wife uses Firefox on her PC but it comes up the same on both accounts.
The thing to remember is you still have to set up the Shipping section as though you are going to charge for shipping but then check the box below that for Free Shipping. What setting all the other information does for you is help when you go to print the label through eBay. For that you need the weight, package dimensions and shipping method.
