Free shipping
I listed an item and for some reason free shipping was not checked and now I can’t change it and I do not want buyers to have to pay for shipping. How do I fix this?

Which item is it?
If the auction already has bids, you cannot make any changes.
You can end the auction due to "error in listing" and relist, but you may be charged a fee from Ebay based on the current bidding amount.

OP2 years agoCan I just refund the amount of shipping when the auction ends?

Technically yes, but your Final Value Fees Ebay charges you will be based on total price the buyer pays which includes shipping charges.

OP2 years agoSo, exactly what does that mean?

OP2 years agoI have not sold on ebay since 2010 and a lot has changed.

It means that when Ebay assesses their selling fees, they will charge you the appropriate percentage based on the total amount the buyer pays which is the total of the price of item + shipping charges + sales tax.
