Fraudulent third party sellers on Ebay
I hope no one else gets scammed this way, thus, I am going to briefly tell you my story. I bought a computer from PC-Quick (still a seller on eBay platform) December of 2024. About 4 months later, the unit malfunctioned. I've got in contact with the seller as the unit was still under warranty. They said they would repair my computer, but I had to provide them with my email address - WATCH OUT, this is a big red flag. These sellers will try to get you out of the platform so that eBay lose track of the transactions between seller and buyer. Not knowing any better I did give them my email address and shortly after received the Fedex label. Using the label provided I returned the computer to get repaired, but never got the computer back. A few attempts to get a refund has also failed as eBay said the returned was done outside of the platform. Its been over six months and given up on getting my refund or repaired unit. However, I wanted to tell my story, hopefully many people read this and does not fall as pray to the many scammers that exist and thrive on this platform
