I have proof of the item being fraudulent every time i try to submit a report the "item number" is sating 12 characters but and is exactly what i put in without dashes and doesnt seem to recognize it. I have proof the item is fake, the seller is non responsive. No options to request a call back. I need some direction
@carrjoejo. Then you need to file a return request case. An agent will just refer you back to the site. The case goes on the sellers record.
Sorry your item is not as described.
The eBay Money Back Guarantee over rules the sellers return policy. You have 30 days from the date of delivery to file a not as described return request for most categories AND 3 days for Trading Cards.
Here's what you need to do:
Open a return with the reason doesn't match description or photos.
Let me know if you need to return an item to another country as there are additional steps required. The seller pays return shipping for an item that is not as described no matter where they are located.
Ty, i tried returning this but the seller wanted me to pay for the s&p. ALSO, isn't it illegal to ship counterfeit items? Why would i send a fake item through federal mail?
I dont have the option to start a return anymore because its passed the 30 days.
If the seller does not provide a prepaid return label or pay in advance for tracked, return shipping, after three business days you should be able to ask eBay to step in and force a refund.
It is only against the law to ship counterfeit goods if you are doing so to commit fraud; not if you are returning for a refund.
If you have waited too long for help from eBay, you may still have recourse through your payment method, though you may have to pay for return shipping in that case. Contact your payment method or card issuer for details.
@carrjoejo Unfortunately it is too late to ask eBay for help. Talking to an agent won't help as the agent can not extend the 30 day limit for the eBay Money Back Guarantee. I do see that the seller has no active listings so I am sure that eBay is on to them.
These are your next steps>
#1 Report the seller> https://www.ebay.com/help/action?topicid=4022Suspicious seller activity> other Then share the item number from the listing in the box and state that the seller sold you a counterfeit scarf ( don't go into a lot of detail as AI reviews these reports at first)
#4 Since it is too late for an eBay refund you will need to contact your payment source of bank, credit card, etc. and file a fraud charge back. Don't delay as they have time limits too.

If you received an item that is not as described, return it at the seller's expense for a full refund using the money back guarantee.
If you are the verified rights holder, send eBay a formal VeRO take-down notice and eBay will remove the listing.
