fraudulent listings

Question

I purchased a motorcycle some years ago and the listing was a total fraud. I take the blame for not having the motorcycle checked out locally since it was across country. For some reason I thought I would have recourse from EBAY and they would be on my side. Has anyone out there purchased a high cost item and did not get what they were supposed to get and did not get the help in solving the issue? I am just curious because it still pains me when I look at the piece of junk in my garage as a cons...

Iâ€™ve made dumb purchases for sureâ€¦ but as far as something not being described correctly, or a few times, outright fraud/intentional misrepresentation, no, Iâ€™ve always used eBay protections to get my money back.
