Fraudulent Account Opened On Personal Email Account
Hi! My family email address was used to open a fraudulent account. I've reported it to eBay and I've talked with customer service on the phone and told it was going to be closed but yet it's still open and "we're" getting angry messages from buyers who aren't receiving their orders. I have no way of getting into this account as our family email has never been associated with eBay before. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you.

Mentor4 months ago@dbutche_0. Have you tried logging in and using the email address and selecting forgot password? That may give you access to the account so that you can end all of the listings and start the account closure.
If that doesn't work then my only advice is to keep calling Trust and Safety
Another option, which I understand can be inconvenient, is to close your email account so that the scammer can't keep using it.

OP4 months agoUnfortunately the “forgot my password” option isn’t working. They turned on 2 factor authentication and have it set up to go to a phone number that’s not mine. Appreciate the advice!
