Fraud in Coin Listing
I see many posted items where ordinary coins with no value beyond the face value of the coin are being sold with obviously unrealistic prices. Some mis identify the coin, or claim silver when it is not silver. The AI rejects all reports of misleading description and Fraud. Why have a reporting process if Ebay automatically deems all listing as OK?
Is Ebay participating in a criminal conspiracy or money laundering?

The item reporting process is primarily for reporting obvious listing violations that can be identified by anyone looking only at the listing, such as the inclusion of disallowed contact information or non-approved payment methods.
Reporting actual counterfeit items -- which require examining the individual item itself rather than the listing -- or reporting description contradictions -- which require specific expertise and familiarity that the average person would not necessarily be expected to have -- are less likely to be able to be handled in that fashion.
Actual buyers that receive counterfeit items or items that are not as described have eBay's money back guarantee, if they have a way to determine if the item matches the description or not.
There is no substitute for buyers knowing what they buy and buying what they know, and choosing trustworthy sellers with which to do business.
