Fraud denied my ebay
eBay has become so full of counterfeit items. I bought one, reported it as fraud and the swiftly told that it was not fraud. I made a quick video showing that it is not the product advertised.

You should open a Return Request. The reason could be "Different from what I ordered > Didn't Match Description" if the item you got was not what was shown and described (ie counterfeit)

Do not close your return request until you either have your refund in hand or you have the replacement item. Do not close it because the seller promises you something.

OP5 months agoThanks for the tip, but honestly, a return doesn't fix this. The counterfeit Wuben G5 is flooding eBay—it's not just my listing, it's everywhere. I live in Mexico, so returning it means driving hours to the border and paying shipping on a $16 flashlight. That makes zero sense. I expect more from eBay than 'send it back'—I want them to pull these fakes before they burn anyone else.

This isn't even close to being a Wuben G5. They're made out of aluminum instead of nylon. The waterproof, have a 5-year warranty they've got a dial that changes color or brightness etc.

The seller has to pay return shipping on a not as described item.
If you had it shipped to USA not Mexico, you'll still have to drive to the border, though.
Here's the thing... Opening return requests for 'not as described' is a black mark on a seller's account, and that is a metric eBay looks at. So it's a good way to get a seller removed.
That's why you should always do a return for for a bad/defective/counterfeit item
I am a volunteer, so I can't pull down a listing or remove a seller.

OP5 months agoI appreciate your help in this matter. I open up eBay and the first thing I saw was another ad for that same flashlight from a different seller. I submit a fraud report and within minutes I get that it's been removed. Hilarious 😂.
The time difference between me receiving the email saying thanks for the report and the email saying that the ad is removed was less than 15 minutes. Thanks again.
