I had a request to purchase 3 brooches last night. All seemed fine until I saw the location of the buyer was
China and his name is Chinese characters. The address I'm to ship to is a freight warehouse. Who is to say they ever receive the merchandise? How am I supposed to prove receipt of the product? I'm a new seller and it figures the first listing is purchased within 20 minutes and then the 2nd listing, then the 3rd listing. Lucky is not my name so I figure something is wrong. Help please?!!

That is what tracking is for. As the seller, as long as you ship with tracking that shows delivery to the shipping address that comes with the payment, you are covered against an "item not received" claim on eBay.
Great username, by the way.

OP4 months agoSo even if the receiver is a third party (which Ebay says is not covered under protection) I will be ok? It's so confusing. I've signed up for their class today at noon so maybe I can ask there. Thoughts? I really appreciate any help and advice you can provide. Thank you so so much!!!

Tracking protects you from an "item not received" case on eBay, and the use a freight forwarder to ship the item out of the country should prevent the buyer from winning a "not as described" return through eBay (though that may not always stop a buyer from attempting that).
But those are not the only sorts of cases to be concerned about. If the purchase was paid for with a credit card, the card holder can dispute the charge for various reasons up to six months later, and the credit card company might claw the payment back from eBay. There is no particular reason to be worried about a user from overseas filing a credit card charge-back compared to a buyer with a domestic registration, though. Just something to keep in mind when selling online.
