Fraud and Scams
Summary: bobicious shared their experience with a scam on eBay where they mistakenly sent an auction item to a scammer instead of the legitimate buyer. They noted that the scammer used the eBay name "delagh-45" and expressed frustration with eBay's poor communication and resolution processes, stating that the situation is unlikely to be resolved in their favor.
I had recently closed on an auction when I got an email, on ebay requesting that the item be shipped to a different address with a different name. I didn't look close enough at the details and thought it was the original buyer. I even double checked with the buyer not realizing that I was talking with the scammer. So I sent the item to him, instead of the original buyer. Anyway, because ebays communication is sub, you can't talk with anyone, and their resolution page deserves a "F" grade. Who designs this trash? This transaction will never be resolved in my favor.
