FRAUD ALERT: 100W "hidden" car chargers don't deliver 100W on 12V!
A large number of eBay listings for cheap "hidden" car chargers claim 100W or more (200W).
What most of them don't say is that they CAN'T deliver more than about 45W on a common 12V supply, that they can ONLY deliver the claimed high power on a 24V SUPPLY, which is NOT normally found in cars.
On a 12V supply they are actually SLOW chargers!
REASON: To deliver higher power they need to output MORE THAN 12V for which they would need larger and more expensive BUCK-BOOST voltage converters (with size and heat issues), NOT cheap common buck (down) voltage converters.
