Fraud
I have run into a seller on eBay that I purchased an item from and I got confirmation from the Post Office that they had purchased a shipping label online and fixed it to the front of an envelope instead of using the label provided by eBay and sent it to somebody else, eBay is now refusing to refund my money back even after after proving proof from the USPS that it was sent to someone else. I also feel I should add that eBay has removed this seller from the platform for fraud and is still refusing my refund.

Mentor6 months ago@dr.vankmann5 That sounds VERY frustrating. It sounds like you did steps one and two.
b) If your name and address weren't on that label, ask the postal carrier if they will put this in writing. Also, ask for the weight of the package using that tracking number. Follow the rest of the steps here:
2) Then, report the seller using this process

Important, select "Suspicious seller activity"
then "Other"
Explain that the seller is using fake USPS tracking numbers
Include these phrases
Seller uploaded tracking not associated with my transaction
Tracking details were not accurate
Seller use a false tracking number
Don't write a novel, it's initially being read by a computer, that's why I want you to use those 3 specific phrases in the message.
3) Finally, contact Customer Service and inform them that the seller uploaded a "false tracking number" on your purchase. Request a refund.
Use the Customer Service that is on social media this way:

- https://www.instagram.com/ebayforsellers/
Just send a private message to the page. Explain you have a fake or false tracking number situation.
If the above steps do not result in a refund then you will have to pursue a chargeback with your funding source ( bank, credit card, etc) . Once you ask your funding source to step in eBay can no longer assist you.

OP6 months agoeBay has also removed the seller from the platform for fraud. Even after knowing they where committing fraud they are still refusing my money from me.

OP6 months agoAgain, I’ve been fighting for them for over a week now and all of a sudden, as soon as I posted this on here, they wanted to offer me a coupon to replace the funds that I lost. I don’t really understand what’s going on with eBay these days…..

OP6 months agoI am now encountering vigilante justice from representatives at eBay, I woke up Monday morning after posting this last week to find some of my items I had listed for sale removed claiming they are counterfeit, I buy and sell Records from my brick-and-mortar and use eBay as a platform to reach more customers, just as eBay was intended for, the records that were removed were official releases. In fact, with just one of the records that eBay removed there are currently more than 20 other listings of the exact same item worded the exact same way mine was and then of course two of the others that were removed were very rare limited edition of 250 and 100 but we’re very official releases, after contacting eBay they just kept reading the same line to me over and over again, it makes me wonder if the main office in California knows anything about what’s going with their platform and if these need to be reported to them.
