Fraud
I have fallen victim to fraud on eBay, as confirmed by the USPS Fraud Investigation Department. Unfortunately, eBay’s automated system won’t allow me to open a case because I previously filed a dispute with PayPal. PayPal closed the dispute in the seller's favor, as they provided a tracking number for a package that was delivered to an address within my zip code. However, they failed to verify the exact delivery address or consider that the package's weight didn’t match the items I ordered. The seller is ignoring my messages, and I’m struggling to find a way to bypass eBay's system and speak with a representative. Does anyone have any advice on how to resolve this?

Mentor1 year agoOnce you open a case with PayPal, eBay can no longer help.
If your case with PayPal was unsuccessful, you may still have a chance to pursue a case with your credit card issuer. Be sure that you make it clear that it is a "false tracking" case, and not an "item not received" case. The seller wins an "item not received" case by providing tracking that shows delivery to your area. You may need to obtain some sort of documentation from the shipping service that indicates that the delivery was not to the address in your order details.
