Seller stole $108.23 from me and I need info so that I can file a report with the Postal Inspector. Seems impossible to get it from eBay.

OP2 years agoeBay was totally useless. I had to contact my sheriff and open a case against the selller.
The last eBay clerk I spoke with appeared to be an NPC and had agreed to connect me with a supervisor.
After being on hold for three minutes or so, she came back and told me her supervisor could do nothing; and before I opened my mouth, this liar hung up on me.
This case was handled poorly from the very beginning as it required more time than their algorithms permit.
Obviously humans cannot be involved in the vast majority of eBay’s transactions, but there are several thousand transactions every month that require human input.
ebay is the 800 pound guerrilla in the room — but so was Ma Bell — and they seem to think they can constantly raise fees and cut back on services; but smarter and hungrier parties will come along and break their monopoly just as with the Bell System.
BTW, the seller paid me back today and both parties would have gone through eBay as we both were willing to do so.
