Hello all,my father had an issue with an item,he's not real savvy in this area,any way he calls the bank,they give him a eBay phone number,he calls it and eBay answers,after brief conversation the guy says send two hundred dollar eBay gift cards,I did call number and it answers eBay, does eBay ever ask for gift cards?

eBay does not have a number to call for customer service, and eBay customer service never asks for gift cards. Asking for gift cards is something scammers do.
To contact eBay, use the chat assistant that you reach from the Help & Contact page to request a chat with an agent or a call back.
What options you see may depend on your particular issue and how busy that department is at the moment.
Try entering "agent" into the chat window. You may have to provide some context to reach the correct department. If you see a "Still need help?" or "More options" choice, either of those should lead to a call back option.
