Forged autograph footage
I bought a football as a gift with a Patrick Mahomes signature authenticated by a company called Global Authentics. When I gifted it to my son who collects sports memorabilia, he instantly new the autograph wasn't authentic-- and he knew that no reputable collector accepts items authenticated from that company. The seller immediately closed the return request & I get an automated message that it can't be appealed. How do I get a real person to help me at Ebay to get my money back?

If you opened a return with the wrong reason, eBay will not let you open another with a different reason. The reason should have been not as described. A seller can not close a not as described request - they can accept the return or send a refund.
Call your credit card issuer and ask them to open a dispute for a counterfeit item.
