Foreign Return
I have a foreign buyer requesting a return. eBay wants me to upload a return shipping label even though the listing stipulated buyer pays return shipping. Using global shipping, the item went to one of the processing centers. I have no idea where the buyer actually lives. I would be okay with eBay sending a label but it does not seem to be an option. Any help?

Something doesn't sound right. If it was shipped using the eBay International Shipping Program then eBay handles all refund requests.
Some of your items have direct ship to the buyer as an option. HOW you shipped determines what rights you have as a seller.
Also if you didn't use the EIS program where you ship to Illinois and the buyer chose their own third party shipping company that voids the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
With third party shipping companies ( other than EIS) my advice is to issue the return shipping label for the address the item was delivered to. The buyer will not be able to use the label since they are not at that location. You'll get refunded for the shipping label when it's not used after about 30 days.

OP2 years agoThanks for the reply. It was shipped via EIS. eBay uses two different vendors the one in Glendale Heights, IL, but This one went to E International Delivery called Asendia in City of Industry, CA. I have used both through EIS and have no issues with delivery. The weirder part was that the buyer sent me a message saying make sure everything matches on the paperwork which I did. His reasoning was he didn't want problems with "Brazilian customs". After doing some more digging through Asendia, it was shipped to Australia, but the buyer says he received it. It is an electrical part which he says is defective and his problem could be another component as what I sent him was thoroughly tested prior to shipment.
Having said all that, I sent him a $21.55 partial refund to cover his return shipping. He has the option to deny the offer. When I receive the item back, if it is received in the condition that I shipped it, I will refund the purchase price of the item. I have sold over 4000 items on eBay and paid over $900 in eBay fees so far this year. It's a shame that eBay has discontinued the live help.

Mentor2 years ago@rkoch173551zq6. I wish you had responded before sending money for return shipping because if it was shipped with ebay international shipping program then ebay should be handling the refund.
ebay does have another shipping program where the seller covers refunds. On my cellphone right now.
