foreign address for bidding on location restricted items

Question

I want to bid on an item in France which restricts sending internationally. Can I use the address of a french friends who's willing to receive and forward the item to me?

Hi @tedxtoth Yes, you can change the shipping address during the checkout process before you pay. It won't change your account address with eBay.

Keep in mind that if your purchase is forwarded from the shipping address to another address, your purchase will no longer be eligible for eBay's Money Back Guarantee. So have your friend open the package and check the item before sending it to you.

@tedxtoth You should be able to edit and add the French address at checkout unless the seller has blocked buyers from other countries in account settings. That's a separate setting from blocking countries.
