Forced app compliance
Summary: plasticplanebuilder expressed frustration over being forced to download an app to check purchases on their phone. They prefer using their phone in landscape mode and feel restricted by the app's portrait mode requirement. Due to the inability to discuss this issue with customer service, they have decided to stop using the service.
So today I checked my purchases using online mode because I hate 'apps'. Well, eBay has forced me to download their 'app' by scrolling automatically to the 'options' instead of checking tracking status of the purchased item. I use my phone in landscape mode because I use both thumbs to type yet here I am in eBay's 'app' to complain to no one who can help me, with my phone idiotically in one hand pecking away like all the rest of the obedient, mindless automototons out there instead of using it the way I have for over a decade. Why? Well, because eBay wants it that way. Well, eBay has lost my business because 1) I cannot discuss this issue with a person, 2) I resent being forced to use your 'app' and 3) I hate having to comply and use my phone in portrait mode like some idiot who can't type.

Why are you using the app at all if you would rather use a browser?
Delete the app or disable the feature that opens eBay browser links in the app and use your mobile browser of choice instead of the app.
