If you had acted within thirty days of receiving it, you could have returned it at the seller's expense for a full refund using eBay's money back guarantee.
Depending on your credit card's terms, you may have had some recourse for up to six months from the date of purchase through your card issuer. Check with your card issuer to see if you have any options at this point.
