Mentor10 months agoThis kind of thing happens, apparently, often on eBay.
Most often the "problem" is that the seller listed the item in a category that doesn't match the state's sales tax exemptions.
You may be able to request a refund of your sales tax through Florida's sales-taxing authority.
Check the state's website.
