The 2026 Florida Hunting, Fishing, and Camping Sales Tax Holiday is currently in effect from September 1 through December 31, but it does not apply to every item that might generally be considered “sporting goods.”
Florida has a specific list of qualifying hunting, fishing, and camping items, and some categories also have price limits.
Online purchases through marketplace providers are included in the tax holiday when the item qualifies and the order is accepted during the holiday period.
I would first check the exact item you purchased against Florida’s qualifying-item list:

If your item clearly qualifies but eBay still charged Florida sales tax, this would be an eBay tax-calculation issue rather than something the seller can correct, since eBay collects and remits the sales tax.

If you post the item number or link here, we can also help check whether that particular item qualifies for the Florida exemption.
