Because the Federal government requires, and defines, the regular maintenance and repair of aircraft, many states do not tax those maintenance parts.
If you are being taxed for repair and maintenance parts, the seller may not have listed the item in an aviation category. You can ask the seller to list in an appropriate category, or you can contact eBay for a refund of overpaid taxes.
