fixing a pending sale
Hi,
I have a pending sale and I posted flat rate buyer shipping for U.S.
Didn't realize that I neglected to block international buyers.
Now I have a bid from an international buyer. When sale ends (in a few days), I will end up having to pay money in order to ship my item (with no money from sale).
Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks for your help!

Mentor2 years agoYour shipping location exclusion list looks pretty complete.
It is possible for a buyer registered in another country to have a US shipping address - there are many companies that forward shipments for buyers.
Wait and see - if she wins, and does not have a US address, then you can cancel the transaction as problem with address. She won't be able to pay without a valid shipping amount. If she has a US address, you ship just like a regular US buyer.

OP2 years agoThank you for responding. I just updated my exclusion list, but I'm guessing it doesn't apply to previously-made bids. I hear you about waiting with fingers crossed. Still wondering if there's a way to adjust shipping after a proper bid is made 🤔

Mentor2 years agoWhen you created the listing, there is a domestic shipping section and an international shipping section. If you did not enter any shipping cost for international shipping, then an international buyer would not be able to pay.

Mentor2 years agoYou can't change the shipping after there is a bid. If she has an international address, she won't be able to pay, so you will be able to cancel easily.
