Fix the page button at the bottom of search results
EBay needs to fix the page button on the bottom of the search results so that you can skip ahead on pages more than a couple like the old program! Recently did a search for aftermarket steering wheels, I'm at page 219 and nowhere near the price range I want to look in, finally gave up die to time constraints.
Some sellers are posting a separate listing for the same wheel for every car under the sun, sometimes 10 or more pages worth, and then reiterated for the next model wheel they sell, it would be nice to be able to skip those more than 2 pages at a time!
In the old days we could choose a page number from the drop list and go there now we have to manually skip 2 pages at a time after the first 5.
Too many results equals no results.
I buy and sell a ton of car parts mainly.
If we can't find what we are looking for easily, we go elsewhere.

OP2 years agoOn the mobile version you can't go to page numbers only skip ahead 5, then 2 at a time after that. That's what I was suggesting is return the page number figure to mobile version

OP2 years agoAs stated above aftermarket steering wheels, they fit a myriad of models, if we could skip ahead to the exact page like you used to be able to do, it would allow you to search a certain price range instead of going through 100s of pages of search results.
How do you change the target search for a universal product? Except by price?
That's why I suggested returning the page number feature to skip to results that are redundant.

By keyword, category or filter, usually. Price is only one of many filter options.

There is more than one way to search for any item.

Mentor2 years agoYou may want to narrow your search down to a reasonable number of listings first before looking through that many pages -- eBay will only display 10,000 results of any search, or about 42 pages at 240 items per page.
What are you searching for? You may be better off with a few smaller, more targeted searches rather than one giant, unwieldy search.
Many automotive sellers' listings are notorious for having pages and pages of compatible make and model info in the item specifics, making it difficult to search for all possible parts for one particular vehicle without pulling in all sorts of extraneous listings. The more you can do to narrow your initial search using keywords, category and filter options, the easier it is to avoid having to scroll through all those unwanted results.
Grouping keywords can help. Rather than searching dodge charger, try using the keyword dodge-charger with a dash to ensure those keywords are in consecutive order rather that simply present somewhere separately in a laundry list of random makes and models. If you are looking for used OEM parts, select the "used" item condition and the relevant OEM brand(s) to avoid new, aftermarket parts. Set a price range to avoid all the listings that are obviously not what you are looking for but may otherwise have your keywords because they are sets of nuts and bolts or accessories for your specific item.
Once you have your search down to less than 10,000 results, go to page two. From there you can skip ahead to different pages by editing the page number in the page address in your browser's search bar.
