Fix EBAY Surch
I have not been on EBAY for a few years. I just did a search on "scaffold burial" to look for a print I want to research. I got a group of listings showing one print like I was looking for, followed by 74 unrelated listings. The EBAY search used to look at the 80 character listing description for a search. One of them was a flash-drive with old CBS movies. The detail of the listing gave the name for each movie, one of which was "Scaffold for Two".
After looking at the detail information that is part of each seller's listing, I found the word "scaffold" or "Burial" appeared in each of the 74 other listings shown in the search results.
I don't know where EBAY got this idea for doing their search, but it is worthless. Use the seller's description in the search. Don't search all the text included in a listing.

Mentor3 years agoeBay will match keywords to the item title or item-specifics of each listing.
When I search for scaffold burial I see 11 results that ship to my location, all in either Art or Collectibles, and then a series of other listings "matching fewer words" after the exact results. If you are scrolling through the results quickly, it is easy to miss the distinction between the exact results and the "fewer words" results.

If your search is finding results you do not want to see, try putting your keywords in quotes to ensure that only results where the keywords are adjacent and in order appear:
