first class shipping changes
I was wondering if we have to go into our listed items that ships first class and adjust the shipping if we have a fixed amount for shipping or if its listed as first class. Advice anyone?

Mentor3 years agoeBay will change any listing that has parcel select to ground advantage. Listings with first class package postage need to be adjusted by the seller - edit the listing to remove first class and add ground advantage. You can’t start until tomorrow, and the announcement suggests that you complete the change in 30 days.
When you print a label for an item listed with first class package, it will automatically switch to ground advantage.

The ground advantage rates for packages under 1LB are the same as the first class package rates today, so if you charge a fixed rate, no adjustment in the amount you charge is needed, just the service changes.
I would suggest changing flat rate items to calculated, so that when rates do change, you do not have to edit the amounts. That probably won’t be until Jan, although there could be holiday surcharges, so not a big rush. Calculated shipping will handle both for you.

Mentor3 years agoebay says they will make the adjust automatically. On 7/9/23, I will check my active listings to double check. I plan to do a bulk edit since I state first class package in my descriptions.
