First Class Mail

I am trying to list an item and want to use a padded mailer that measures 14 in x 11 in x 0.5 in that is 13 oz using First Class Mail. Ebay does not list First Class as a shipping option. Any idea why? The wt and dimensions are within the large envelope classification for First Class Mail.

I believe the USPS classifies a padded envelope as a package, so it has to be shipped using ground advantage, which includes tracking. First class mail, does not include tracking, so if the buyer files an Item Not Received case, you would have to refund the buyer's full payment since you cannot prove the item was delivered.

eBay does not sell stamp postage. Regardless of the package you need to use USPS Ground Advantage. Do not select the First class choice or package when you set up your listings. You need all your shipment tracked, not sent with regular stamp postage.

You will be better off shipping everything in a box, it is more secure.
