find what has sold
Wshen researching a item I go to ADVANCE, type in title, scroll down to sold and check the box but active listings come up instead of what has sold in the past. What am I doing wrong

·2 years agoI prefer to refine my search on active items until I get it down to where I am getting what I am looking for without too much other stuff (trying to do it in Advanced Search is doing it blind and there are more filters in the left column of the results than in Advanced Search form).
Refine the search to maximize the number of good results you get (add keywords that a seller might use for that particular item) and minimize the bad results (use filters in left column, e.g. categories; and remove keywords that are bringing the other items up without bringing up good ones). When you've got an optimum search, scroll down the left column and check "Show only: Sold items" (to also see what they didn't sell for check only "Completed items"--ones that sold will have the price in green). Sort the results by price and the median price will be in the middle.
