Filing lost item claims
An item I sold was lost or stolen and I need to file a claim. Ebay says I can't file a claim until Feb. 11th. But if I have to make the claim through USPS anyway why is there this wait period? It appears to me that eBay is not really involved in the claims process. According to USPS I can file after 15 days but before 60 days.

Mentor8 months agoYou can file a claim through USPS for the package lost in shipping but be aware that USPS will not handle stolen package claims.What does tracking indicate?
There is no claim to be filed with Ebay since you are the seller of the lost package.
