In most cases, there are no listing/insertion fees... unless you select an optional upgrade. If you choose a listing option that has a fee, that is paid whether your item sells or not.
Final Value Fees are only when your item sells.
In most cases, the Final Value Fee is 13.60% of the sale (Selling Price + Shipping + Sales Tax)
Please check this help page as some fees are higher and some are lower.

100 * 13.60% = $13.60 + .40 = $14.00
But it will be a little higher, depending on shipping and sales tax.
Etsy fees seem lower when an item sells, but the listing fees can eat up profits.
