Fees not being paid from sold items.
Summary: midsouth-cpu shared their experience of selling items on eBay, expressing frustration with the fee and shipping deductions process. They noted that the shipping cost for a second item was incorrectly deducted from the first item's earnings, leaving them with a reduced payout. They questioned how high-volume sellers manage these issues, suggesting that the platform's changes have complicated the selling process.
I sold an item for $150, they fees and shipping was taken out which is fine. Although, I did have to wait several days to get paid waiting on item to get to buyer, and then another three days after that. I sold a second item during this time, the shipping was $54.00 on this second item, they took that $54.00 from my earning on the first order leaving me only $53.00 to payout to my account. I'm am now showing the same shipping charges deducted from the second item too and had to contact them to get that straighten out. My questions is, How is it possible for power sellers or sellers that sell a lot of items to be able to keep up with their system? Seems to me it would be very difficult or impossible. Looks like each item you sell the fees and shipping would be paid from that transaction not other transactions. ebay has defiantly changed and not for the best.

Shipping has always paid from available funds, not matched to the specific order since eBay started processing the payments 6-8 years ago ( it was a phased implementation).
Since each transaction has an ID, you should never see the same transaction posted twice. If you were looking at the order earnings for the second sale, you would see the shipping again, but it would not have been deducted from the payout for that sale after having already been deducted from the previous payout.
You can run a transaction report through your payment account that shows you the payout ID for each transaction. I used this to balance my sales fees shipping costs and pending payouts at the end of each month using a spreadsheet.
