Fees if buyer and seller agree to a return and a refund of the price less agreed damage cost
$375 buy it now item sent perfect. Buyer offers to return the item and split the return shipping of 6.60 and and accept damage reduction. I.e. Buyer gets back 346.70. What fees will be charged to the seller? What is the best way to process this solution? Will the fees outweigh the agreed solution to disputed damage issue?

Mentor2 years agoIf the item arrived damaged, you owe the buyer a FULL refund for item price plus shipping, and if you want the item back, you pay the FULL return shipping. The buyer doesn't take ANY loss.
You'll receive a credit for your fees when the refund is issued..

OP2 years agoYes, thanks. Here the seller contends the item arrived undamaged. (Damage is not of the type that could occur in shipping) so the parties are in agreement that a full refund is not appropriate.

According to the MBG, the buyer gets a full refund and you have to pay return shipping, if you want it returned before refunding.
If the buyer is unsure what to do, send them here and we'll help them.
