Fees. How can fees be collected on postage and tax? It should be just the sales amount.
How can fees be collected on the total? It should not be on taxes and postage (which I have to pay).

Mentor2 years agoeBay gets to decide how fees are calculated, and eBay chooses to assess fees on the total amount the buyer pays.
eBay could have chosen another way that does not include taxes, but then the percentage assessed would be higher to bring in the same revenue.
Sellers get to decide whether the total fee amount on any transaction makes it worth listing a particular item or not.
If eBay did not assess a fee on postage, that would provide incentive for sellers to list $100 items for $1 with $99 shipping to avoid paying fees.
