fees charged for an item unsold
Hi
Any advice for a first time inexperienced seller being charged exorbitant "discrepancy fees" for an item not sold on ebay?
ebay continues to send monthly statements of an outstanding bill despite my multiple appeals to them and their collection agency CBE explaining the confusing and frustrating calls I've had with ebay CSRs and CBE. I kept getting mixed messages from both, dropped calls, different reps each call re-explaining my situation.
I Sent a letter to CBE Oct 27 of last year. Have not heard back from them or ebay. Just the email monthly statements from ebay.
Any help in next steps greatly appreciated. I want to get this resolved.

Mentor8 months agoUnfortunately once eBay turns you over to their collection agency it would be very hard to get eBay to correct anything. This should have been done long ago since eBay does not involve their collection agency until six months have passed without you clearing the problem. Now that the collection agency is involved your credit rating is at risk.
If you would describe what the problem was we may be able to tell you what you should have done at that time.

There are fees for some listing upgrades that are due even if you do not sell the item.
Did you list and item that had bids and then cancel the bids and end the listing early?
