fees
why do we have to pay fees on the money we dont get that goes to the shipping companys? as if they donjt make enof money from us already why dont they have to pay this fee ? think we are all getting screwed and the shipping company's are having their cake and eating it to at our expense

OP2 years agoy know how much we pay on shipping on some things shipping is way more then the product itself so if i charge 20 ndollars im lucky to break even making ther shipping company most of the money with no kickback

Mentor2 years agoUnless you are offering free shipping, the buyer pays for shipping. If you purchase your labels through eBay, you get a discount from retail prices. You have the option to pass along the discount to your buyer or not. If you don't, that discount may cover your fees on shipping.
If you are going to sell on line, shipping is part of the deal. You have to factor all your costs of doing business into your pricing including fees.

Mentor2 years agoThe fee is calculated on the total sale (price + shipping + sales tax).
If they were to charge you fees on just the selling price, they would have to raise fees on the item price. This is how it was done years ago and too many sellers were cheating the system by charging exorbitant shipping costs and low item prices to get out of paying fees. This levels the playing field now for honest sellers. When they changed the fee structure to the way it is now, they lowered their fees.
You determine your own pricing don't you? Well so does eBay...as does every company. Pricing is based on so many factors you have no way of knowing, so to just say "they charge too much" is not an informed accusation. eBay fees are lower than most of their competitors.

Ebay fees are based on the total amount that the buyer pays, which is the total of:
Price of the item plus your shipping charges plus sales tax.
