Question

Greetings!I just noticed my feedback score fell again but its for the same feedbackHow is it if you have one negative feedback ever, that it can fall into the 6 months mark and is also showing in the 1 year mark for the same exact feedback? My score just dropped from 99.1 to98.1 for the same feedback. How is that possible? Thanks!

If a positive feedback twelve months and one day aged off the calculation numbers, then any existing negative feedback would have a larger impact on the calculation. example: On March 31 there were 30 pos & 2 neg. Percentage is calculated 30/(30+2) = 93.8% On April 01, one ages off, leaving 29 pos & 2 neg. Pcntg calculated 29/(29+2) = 93.5% You'll notice it works the opposite way, too. If you have p number of positives and n number of negatives, then the more positives you add to the total, the more the positives dilute the effect of the negatives, and the net result is an increase in the percentage.

Your feedback percentage is calculated using only feedback received in the last year, which means that older feedback does not enter into the calculation. Click in the little "i-in-circle" on your feedback page by the percentage to see the actual calculation. As older feedback passes the one year mark, it no longer counts, and the percentage can change up or down.

The numbers in the table are totals for the time period. If you received one negative feedback comment in the last six months, that means you have received at least one negative feedback in the last twelve months as well. It would not make sense if you received one negative in the last six months and zero negatives in the last twelve months (which includes the last six months and the six months before that). The twelve month number cannot be less than the six month number.
