Feedback removed about seller selling refurbished items but listing them in new condition?
Hi, I recently purchased two tools from the same seller that were listed in new condition. When the items arrived they were clearly refurbished and were stamped with the usual melted letter R on the handle of the tool and came in a used frozen hamburger box from a popular fast food place, not the expected retail packaging of a new item. It was obvious the items were used previously as well. I returned the items promptly using the sellers return policy but when they received them back they claimed that they were broken and only refunded half of the purchase price. Thankfully ebay made things right and refunded the missing money, but my feedback warning other buyers of the items being refurbished was then removed. Is this common practice that ebay removes feedback? This seller should be the one removed from ebay or at least other buyers should know ahead of time that the items they are buying that are listed in new condition are refurbished. What gives, why is my feedback removed?
