FEEDBACK not posted
If a seller wins a dispute it seems as though I (the buyer) would still be entitled to have my negative review posted. It cost me $80 bc the seller said my package arrived but I never received it. And I can’t prove I never received it. It seems like that is something other buyers would have a right to know. Especially since I’m not the first buyer this has happened to. Several other buyers posted about not receiving their packages. Unfortunately I didn’t see those posts until I lost $80. eBay allowed this buyer to retain my money when they have questionable practices. I’ve been blocked by the seller, can’t spend another $80 thank goodness!

·2 years agoIt might seem that way to you but at least in the past losing a Money Back Guarantee case was grounds for at least feedback removal (or it might have blocked it altogether).

Mentor2 years agoYou may not be able to prove you never received anything, but you may still be able to prove that the seller's tracking does not actually prove what the seller claims it proves.
If tracking shows delivery but you do not receive anything, check with the shipping service to determine if the tracking number corresponds to a delivery to your address.
If not, you may be the victim of a false tracking scam or the seller may have given you the wrong tracking number by mistake. Either way, see here for some good instructions about what you can do about it:

What kind of feedback for selling does your seller have? You can avoid many issues by choosing to only do business with sellers that have a proven track record of delivering what was sold and that have sold similar sorts of items before. Avoid new or unproven sellers, sellers with a pattern of serious negative feedback, or sellers that have drastically changed behavior or that have unexplained gaps in selling feedback.
If your seller is a drop-shipper, the seller may have been the victim of the company doing the drop-shipping and providing the tracking number.
Don't worry about feedback now; it sounds like the seller has already received enough negative feedback to stop anyone that cares from doing business with that seller again, at least using that account.

OP2 years agoThat’s part of my problem. Their negative feedback isn’t always posted. They show to have a 99.3% rating but I highly doubt it. Thank you for your help I’m going to follow thru thanks to you.

Mentor2 years agoYou are welcome. Good luck!
That is a pretty high feedback percentage. How much of that is for selling?
I would be surprised if an experienced seller with that kind of feedback percentage suddenly started using fake tracking numbers out of the blue unless the account was hijacked, or the seller was a drop-shipper that picked an new company to fulfill recent orders, and picked badly.

OP2 years agoI’m not sure how to tell how much of that high rating is for selling and now that they’ve blocked me from their “store†I know even less. Supposedly they’re a Top Rated Seller, from Israel and a member since 2013.
Guess it was an expensive lesson.
