Feedback Not Permitted
A transaction yesterday and a new one today were promptly paid and I went to leave feedback, but eBay says the transaction cannot be found. I checked payment history and both are processing/processed, yet still eBay will not permit feedback. I contacted a human at eBay and got some line about having to post after delivery, which makes no sense for a seller. Yet I am able to post immediate feedback for other payments. Is eBay's feedback system broken?

OP2 years agoStill getting "We can't find this transaction. Please check your transactions to give feedback."
How can they not find this transaction, when they have already exacted the fees for it? It does not make sense and no one, I mean no one at eBay seems to know what he (in this case) is doing. I do hope they send me a feedback questionnaire for his alleged help.

You had an auction end at 12:29 Pacific Time today and you have already left feedback.

OP2 years agoIt seems to be hit or miss. I had a large lot of "Rough Riders..." end today as well, but his lot is one for which I cannot post feedback and I have sold to him previously. The other auction was a Canadian Mountie block which was paid a day or two back, shipped yesterday, and still cannot post feedback.

OP2 years agoJust tried to leave feedback for two additional auctions with the same result. Transaction not found, yet the fees have been deducted. Tried to call eBay, but just before 3 p.m. they are closed already.

OP2 years agoI have tried from the page with sold items, under the category of "Leave Feedback," I scrolled to the bottom of the feedback page for me and clicked on the "Leave Feedback" link, and gone into the item sold and selected leave feedback -- all land with the same result "Transaction not found..." It is not like I have not posted feedback in the past, but now even the most recent payments hit the same result. I did e-mail customer service about it, but got the canned 24-48 hour response allocation. This has just been a frustrating hassle far beyond just posting eBay feedback -- they clearly have a technical glitch which needs to be addressed. I cannot be the only 20+ year eBay user to have this issue.
