Feedback for a Buyer
I recently sold something and the buyer never paid, despite two messages indicating they would. After 5 days I cancelled the order. I looked at the feedback on the Buyer and it says, 100% positive, but when you look at the actual feedback, you can see that this buyer has done this multiple times. ebays policy is that you can only leave "positive" feedback. I blocked the buyer so I don't have to deal with him again, but he'll just do it to someone else. Thoughts?

Did you choose the reason "Buyer hasn't paid" or similar phrasing? When you cancel for that reason, eBay sticks a Strike on the buyer's account. Two such strikes and the buyer is automatically blocked from buying from sellers who have their buyer requirements set to block such buyers. Are yours set? In 2008 eBay stopped letting Sellers leave Neutral or Negative Feedback for Buyers. Obviously, the eBay Feedback system is biased towards Buyers. All Buyers have 100% Positive Feedback although some shouldn't based on their actions and reputation on the venue. That Buyer got one Unpaid item strike from you when you canceled on day 5, if they get 2 in 12 months they won't be able to buy much on eBay.
Sadly, the eBay Feedback system has morphed in to something it was not intended to be. There are 7 eBay Help Pages that cover the Feedback system ... a bit much for what should be a simple process.
