Feedback
eBay has no means of providing feedback. They obviously don't want to learn what isn't working and can be improved and what is working to keep their buyers coming back. And that's a self-destructive business practice. It's no wonder they can't keep up with the competition.
I don't want to open a support ticket or chat with a live agent, both of which cost eBay money. I simply want to provide feedback to help them improve the eBay experience. Feedback is practically free.
My feedback is about Watchlists. They're poorly designed and could be easily improved at a very low cost.
The Watchlist "menu" is in the top right corner between 'Sell' and 'My eBay'. But it's not actually a menu at all despite the down arrow which would normally indicate it's a drop down menu with items to select as it should be. And that's part of the problem.
When you have nothing in your primary watchlist, clicking this menu will display the message, "Looks like you are not watching any items yet". Even if you have have a bunch of custom watch lists loaded with items, it tells you you have nothing. Clicking this menu should display a list of any custom watchlists you have.... that's how a drop down menu works. I feel silly having to explain that to software designers and developers.
If your primary watchlist is empty, and you have custom watchlists, the only way to access them is by clicking on the My eBay menu, then clicking on Watchlist, then clicking on the Watchlist drop down that appears (and actually works like a drop down menu should) which then displays your list of custom watchlists. That's a lot of unnecessary steps because the design is so bad.
Is there anyone who thinks Watchlists works well? If I'm missing some advantage with the current implementation please let me know. Because it make absolutely no sense to me.
