EBAY SELLER FEEDBACK IS BEING USED AS A WEAPON.
WHEN SELLER IS PAID BY PAYPAL, IMMEDIATE FEEDBACK SHOULD BE LEFT UPON RECEIPT OF PAYMENT.
SELLER FEEDBACK SHALL NOT BE HELD UNTIL BUYER FEEDBACK IS COMPLETE.

Are you aware that leaving feedback is optional … and that both buyers and sellers are free to leave it whenever they want, including not at all?

Sadly, the Feedback system is antiquated, archaic, subjective and juvenile in some respects. It has moved away from the helpful tool that it may have been at one time but did you know that in 2008 eBay stopped letting Sellers leave Neutral or Negative Feedback for Buyers???
Yep, Sellers can ONLY leave Positive FB for Buyers ... how fair is that???? Well, it's not
Every Buyer is shown to have a lily white 100% Positive Feedback yet they can leave Neutral or Negatives for Sellers which anyone can see when viewing their FB History ... again, How fair is that?
Then eBay expanded the FB typing field to 500 characters and if memory serves is considering allowing pictures to be added to FB ... what are they trying to do, make it a mini-feedback social media platform???
Because the system falls woefully short from its intended use there are numerous eBay Help pages dedicated to it ... such as:
Leaving feedback for sellers | eBay
Feedback misuse policy | eBay
Feedback extortion policy | eBay
Replying to feedback you received for an item you sold | eBay
Feedback misuse policy | eBay
In all the years of Selling, Buyer FB for what I sell has been consistently between 50%-60%. I don't ask for it, I don't put little notes in packages about it, I don't discuss it nor do my listings mention it like other do. If it happens it happens naturally.
Keep in mind that with the changes eBay made some Sellers simply may not want any parts of the FB system so they don't leave it until a Buyer leaves it not at all ... some members engage in the Feedback Game like that, I don't. I leave FB for my customers right after items ship, then its done and I don't get bothered by reminders that I have to leave FB ... for me it is simply more efficient to do it that way.
