Feed back for non payers

Question

Hello ,I stopped selling on eBay years ago. I just recently started back! Sold maybe 5 things and 2 out of the 5 wasnâ€™t paid for after 5 days! Iâ€™m wondering why buyers are allowed to leave negative comments but a seller is not allowed?seems kind of unfair to me!I believe sellers should be able to give a negative for non payment. Iâ€™m actually thinking of going back to Poshmark and no selling here do to this

Sellers can't leave negative (or neutral) feedback for buyers because too many sellers were using the threat of negative retaliation to discourage less than positive feedback from buyers no matter how warranted it was. And then if the threat wasn't enough, they would leave a scathing negative feedback for the buyer and seek a "mutual withdrawal." Since accurate and honest feedback for the seller is so much more important than for the buyer (all buyers have the ability to examine the seller's feedback profile before anything happens, while the seller is seldom able to do so and there are issues with taking action after the fact) eBay did away with negative and neutral feedback for buyers in 2008 and banned getting around that by leaving a negative comment on a positive rating.

On the other hand the Buyer Requirement that blocks those with 2 or more strikes in the past 12 months (or the more lenient settings available) acts automatically to block bids, offer, and BINs from serial deadbeats (IF their sellers used the proper unpaid item process) and so is far more effective than expecting to be able to react to feedback.

I am sorry that happened, it is frustrating when buyers do not pay.

-- If it has been 4 days (96 hours) and the buyer has not paid, you can cancel the order for "Non-payment".

==> This process gives the buyer an unpaid item "strike", and it refunds your final value fees.

This is WORSE for a buyer than negative feedback.

TIP: When you cancel the sale for non-payment, the buyer gets a "strike". This is a hidden thing, but with enough, the buyer will be removed from eBay. And you as a seller can block these bad buyers, see the settings below.

To help avoid non-paying buyers in the future, here are some settings to consider:

1) You can block buyers with prior unpaid purchases:

Set your Buyer Requirements to â€“

- block "buyers" with x number of unpaid purchases (2 in 12 months is the most strict)

- block "buyers" who live in a place you do not ship to.

- Apply the above settings to active and future listings

2) Make sure to exclude all the continents/countries you do not want to ship to.

3) You can also block a specific Username that you had a bad experience with

4) Turn OFF Best Offers on all your listings

(Immediate Payment Required doesn't always work when a buyer sends an offer.)

Uncheck the box that says: "Allow Offers"

Regarding Feedback

-- Sellers cannot leave negative feedback for any reason. Only positive (green dot) feedback is available. Also, do not leave a "negative comment" along with the positive (green dot) feedback. Just give the buyer that strike.
