Fee for the early cancellation

Question

Mistakenly canceled the ongoing auction. It was only one bidder. I got notified about crazy fee that I’d have to pay for early cancellation and I can’t afford it. The item wasn’t even sold. Is there a fee waiver?

When you cancel an auction that has a bid, you are charged the fee as if you sold the item at the high bid.

You can try asking customer service for a courtesy refund. I don’t know if they do this any longer.
