Mentor1 year agoeBay's Final Value Fee (FVF) has two parts. First, there is a per-order fee.
If the total amount of your sale (with shipping charges and sales tax) is under $10.00, the per-order fee is $0.30.
If the total price is $10.01 and over, the per-order fee is $0.40.
Second, eBay charges a percentage which varies among categories. For most categories, the FVF percentage is 13.6%. That percentage is applied to the total amount of the sale.
So if your item sold for $350.00, and the buyer paid $15.00 for shipping, and the buyer paid a 10% sales tax on the item only, $35.00, your buyer would have paid $400: $350 + 15 + 35 = $400.
eBay's 13.6% FVF on $400 is $54.40. Add the 40 cent per-order fee, and your total eBay fee is $54.80.
IF you used eBay's Promoted Listing service on the listing, your fees would be increased by the percentage you chose to pay eBay for that promotion.
