FedEx shipping rate adjustment
Hello,
I shipped an item via FedEx and they later charged my account an extra $31.50 because they stated the package was irregularly shaped. That is not true. The package was rectangular and flat on all sides. I called FedEx and they apologized and want to issue me a refund. However, their rep said FedEx needs eBay's shipper number to issue the refund. Well, I'm sure you all know speaking to anyone at eBay that can help me is not going to happen. I tried their automated system. I don't think I need to elaborate on that joke.
Anyway, can someone kindly tell me how I can go about getting my money back from FedEx?
Thank you.

Mentor1 year ago@crazypt Only eBay customer service can file the dispute since they are the Fed Ex customer. I recommend contacting CS on social media to ask them to do this. Keep in mind that Fed Ex does sometimes add incorrect surcharges but there are CORRECT surcharges that you can read about on the Fed Ex website.
Personally if I have an item that is too large or heavy to ship via USPS then I use UPS and buy the label from PIrateship.com. Pirateship helps with insurance claims and surcharge disputes. UPS does have a list of valid surcharges on their website too. UPS does not add surcharges as often as Fed Ex does.
Here's how to contact eBay general customer service:
eBay agents are working from home so you have to request a call back or live chat.
1. CLICK THIS LINK:

2. Request a call back
3. Or you can also contact customer service by sending a PRIVATE message on social media. Customer service verifies your identity before responding.

OP1 year agoThank you very much for that detailed reply. I will follow your suggestions. By the way, the package was only 27x4x3.
