Fedex shipping
So I get this email today from ebay about a Fedex shipment recently. I think Fedex is scamming me and ebay is helping them do it. Fedex package labels are, as far as I can tell, charged by the even pound of weight. Whatever the weight of the package, round it up to the next pound and that is what is charged. Is that correct?
So Fedex says my label said 2.75 lbs and the package weight was 2.80 lbs. This is 3 lbs either way. Elsewhere in links while investigating this, I see that Fedex said label said 44 oz and shipping weight was 3 lbs. Duh! 44oz rounds up to 3 lbs. Also, if it said 44oz, that means that I probably had a weight on my scale of 2lbs 11.x oz. And since I ALWAYS round up, thus 44oz. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find what was actually entered in the "purchase label" area when I originally purchased said label. Fedex effectively doubled the shipping and it has been charged to me account. I want to choke someone right now for this petty ripoff. Is this worth pursuing? Can I get "MY" money back? Or is it stolen with essentially no recourse? Thanks

There is a New Technical Issue involving FedEx. The shipping team is aware of it and is working on it.

RESOLVED -root cause has been identified, and resolution is underway. All impacted customers will be credited for any erroneous FedEx label adjustment costs. At this time we don't need any other customer examples.
