Fedex lost contents of package $500 value int'l shipment

Question

What are my options in this case? I am the seller and shipper. Didn't have to use Fedex but did so to make sure buyer would get the item quickly and safely. Please list all options available and wether since it's an Ebay listing, Ebay has more leverage dealing with Fedex. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply. Could you elaborate on the 'hammer on them' part? What should be done exactly? Thanks for advice re EIS, again the intention was good, wanted to benefit client by using fedex.

If you shipped directly with your own FedEx account ebay can not help you. File a claim and then call and hammer on them.

In the future use the Ebay International Shipping (EIS) program and avoid all these problems.
