FEDEX ..
WHENEVER I SEND A PACKAGE VIA FEDEX, I SHORTLY RECEIVE A CHARGE FOR THE INCREASE IN THE RATE OF MORE THAN 50%. HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANYONE ELSE? AND IF SO, WHAT ADVICE CAN I GIVE? PLEASE THANK YOU.

Mentor1 year agoHi @gnavstore
FedEx did that to me a number of years ago when we would put their labels on packages but the charges would come through later when PayPal was the payment processor. Neither eBay nor FedEx would explain the "other" charges levied on the label purchase. And I knew for a fact that it was NOT a Dimensional weight issue. I have NEVER used them since that time and now use USPS exclusively.

Mentor1 year agoFed Ex is known for adding surcharges, some justified, and some not, and billing you later. I have seen MANY complaints from sellers about large Fed Ex surcharges.
If I have a package I can't ship with USPS then I buy a UPS shipping label on Pirateship.com. They charge the same or less for shipping as eBay. They help with surcharge disputes and insurance claims.

·1 year ago@gnavstore From the times I had to ship with FedEx did not receive a surcharge. It would be good to check on your Shipping Preferences in the follow page to see what type of calculated shipping you are offering for your buyers. The third type would make sure you are covered and decide later if you wish to refund the customer and overage.
